A trip to the Las Vegas Natural History Museum enables students to experience scientific discovery, exploration, and innovation as they explore Earth’s wild places, past and present! Our CCSS and NGSS-aligned field trips consist of a 1.5-hour long tour led by trained educators. Students will experience 5 of our galleries in an interactive experience designed for their grade level.

Pre-k Science Explorers: Students learn fundamental science skills in Prehistoric Life, Marine Life, Wild Nevada, and African Savanna galleries and the Young Science Center.

1st-2nd Habitat Explorers: Students explore habitats in Prehistoric Life, Marine Life, Geology Gallery, and Wild Nevada gallery and Africa Savanna.

3rd Adaptation Explorers: Students learn about the animal kingdom in Marine Life, Wild Nevada, Prehistoric life, African and Egypt Gallery.

4th Prehistoric Explorers: Students explore history of life in Ancient Egypt, Prehistoric Life, Ice Age Gallery, and Marine galleries, along with our paleontology lab*

5th Careers Explorers: Students learn about STEM careers in the Prehistoric Life, Marine Life, Geology Gallery, and Ancient Egypt galleries, along with our paleontology lab* *Please note that galleries included are subject to change depending on gallery availability/paleontologist hours.

Price Information

Title 1:

If your school or organization qualifies for open door subsidy, then staff and students receive FREE admission. Additional adult chaperones or siblings along with the tour will receive the group rate discount.

Group Rate:

If you have over 10 people, you qualify for our group rate. Through the group rate, children under 2 are free, students 3-11 are $3, students 12 and up are $5, seniors and military are $5, and general adults are $6. To receive the group rate, you must pay in one transaction upon arrival.

Regular Admission:

Children under 2 are free, students 3-11 are $6, students 12 and up are $10, seniors and military are $10, and general adults are $12.
