A 50% non-refundable down-payment and signed “Birthday Agreement” are required to reserve your event. Payment in full is due day of event, including the balance, add-ons and extra guest count.
All birthday party guests must check in upon entry to the Museum. If you exceed the maximum number of thirty (30) guests allowed for a pre-determined rate, you will be charged an additional fee of $6.00 per guest. Being a museum member counts towards the thirty (30) guest allotment.
There are additional fees if you request more than one (1) birthday child, additional plates, cups, napkins (over the thirty (30) guest allotment) or exceed the two (2) hour scheduled limit in the party room.
You may arrive thirty (30) minutes before your scheduled party time. Check-in is located in the front lobby.
The party room is only accessible for the scheduled two-hour time block, not from the time of arrival. In your best interest, and the interest of other birthday parties, it is important that you arrive and vacate the party room as scheduled.
All necessary paper goods are supplied. You are welcome to bring more paper goods if you desire. Paper goods include napkins, plates, and plastic utensils.
If you have décor that you would like the birthday team to put up, please inform the birthday coordinator a minimum of seventy-two (72) hours before your party. Some forms of decoration will not be added due to time and space constraints.
Piñata, confetti, cascarones, aerosol silly string, sparklers, glitter, and other similar items are not permitted on the grounds. Nails, tacks, tape, wire, staples, glue, and similar items may not be used without the consent of the Museum.
Helium balloons are not allowed due to the ceiling alarms in the Museum.
Balloon arches cannot be accommodated at this time due to space constraints in the party room.
If any Museum provided decorations are missing or damaged, you will be charged $20 for the replacements. Museum provided decorations include but not limited to table centerpieces, ceiling streamers and wall décor.
Decorations cannot be added to any areas of the Museum.
The Museum does not allow any beer, wine, or alcoholic beverage on the premises as part of the Birthday Party Program.
If you are having caterers for your events, the caterers must coordinate their set-up with the Las Vegas Natural History Museum forty-eight (48) hours before the event.
The guest is allowed to bring in any food, but it must be served in the Party Room. Food and beverage must be consumed in the party room, and not taken into any other areas of the Museum.
Food must be precooked. Food cannot be cooked, fried, baked, or smoked on property or in the classroom.
Dark punches/juices and red or blue food dyed items are not permitted in the Party Room.
All electrical needs (catering or otherwise) must be coordinated with the Las Vegas Natural History Museum 72 hours before the event. You must inform the coordinator of any electrical needs.
