Are you ready for a day of adventure at the Las Vegas Natural History Museum?
This special event aims to unite homeschooling families from across the valley for a day of exploration, enrichment, and connection. Dive into the museum's vast array of resources, from fascinating exhibits to educational programs designed to ignite curiosity and inspire learning.
Whether you're a seasoned homeschooling family or considering this educational path for the first time, Rally Day at the Las Vegas Natural History Museum promises a day of fun, camaraderie, and the opportunity to enrich your homeschooling journey.
Activities for the day include:
- A scavenger Hunt through the museum's galleries, perfect for adventurers of all ages.
- Crafting your own Sea Creature - a great way for participants aged 3-10 to unleash their creativity!
- At the Demonstration Table, delve into the depths of the ocean and engage in a Q&A session with knowledgeable staff (suitable for learners of all ages).
- Young explorers (recommended for ages 3-10) can engage in a simulated fossil dig for casts and specimens, while older learners (ages 7 and up) can unleash their inner geologist by creating their own geode and exploring various mineral specimens.
- Learn about conservation in an immersive VR activity (ideal for ages 10+), offering a captivating glimpse into the wonders of the world.
- And all ages are invited to design a creature based on its adaptations as we explore the unique, real-life adaptations of animals in the wild.

- Are any group rates available? Yes: If you have 10+ individuals in your group, please call 702-384-3466 for discounted group pricing!
- Is food available? No: Only water with a lid on it is allowed inside the building. We do offer a water fountain and bottled water for sale in the Gift Shop. No food is available onsite for purchase. For families who would like to picnic, Heritage Park is next to the museum and offers a playground as well as picnic tables. It is a dedicated Children's Park. So, all adults must be accompanying a child under the age of 12 to enjoy the park.
