About the Event

During this activity we’ll delve into the significance of Tonatiuh the face at the center of the Sunstone also known as the Aztec Calendar. We’ll discuss the meanings of the symbols that surround him! Afterward participants will have the opportunity to create their own Tonatiuh face masks bringing this iconic figure to life.

The program is funded in part by a grant from Nevada Humanities, and the National Endowment for the Humanities.
